How to Cover Tattoos with make-up

Step by step instructions to cover a dark ink tattoo with Camouflage Cosmetics

Covering a dark ink tattoo

• First you need to start with clean dry skin

• Exfoliate if the skin is dry or flakey

• Choose from our product range

• First start with the lightest shade of cover on the darkest part of your tattoo

• Next use a shade that closely matches your skin tone. Its a good idea to take a few shades and mix them on the back of your hand to warm the concealer .

• Using a make-up spatula makes this process a lot easier

• Dab the tattoo make-up on lightly, fingertips will do fine, or if you prefer use a make-up brush

• Now you can apply some fixing spray, a light mist is all you need.

• Dust lightly with fine neutral shade setting powder, this will remove the sheen

• Now see how it looks!

• You may wish to go over with another layer of colour, spray and powder. No need to remove prior cover

• Remove with makeup remover

Note our latest range by Grimas no longer need fixing spray and are still waterproof!

If using for an important event such as a wedding then try to get a few practice runs in first. Also check with your bridesmaids, perhaps they need some camouflage cosmetics for the big day
